Cloud objects, a point cloud that changes shape

A study for a company site built around a single idea: one cloud of points, standing for the whole business, that re-forms as you move through the sections instead of being replaced by a new image each time. A globe for "Unsere Welt", a double helix for "Unsere DNA", a ring for "Unser Kreislauf", a tree for "Unser Wachstum", a cluster of figures for "Unser Team". Same particles throughout, just told to be something else.

How it moves

The transition between two shapes is not a fade. Points that already agree between the old and new form hold still; the rest scatter briefly and get pulled back down into their new position, so a shape never quite dissolves before the next one arrives. The pointer nudges the field a little as it passes, enough to feel touchable without breaking the read of the shape.

The transition up close

Closer in, the swirl the field goes through between two states is most of the work: a directional wipe with its own drag and noise, so the same cloud reads as wind passing through it rather than a shape simply falling apart.

What it is for

A demonstration for company or product sites that want to say "we are one thing with many sides" without a slideshow of stock renders. The five shapes here are placeholders; the technique is the point.
